Safety Inspections

Non-Destructive Testing

With our qualified and certified personnel according to the UNI EN ISO 9712 standard, we are able to verify the safety conditions of any people transportation or lifting system in industrial, port, and shipyard environments. The range of inspections we expertly and competently perform spans from visual inspection (VT) to magnetic particle testing (MT), from ultrasonic testing (UT) to liquid penetrant testing (PT). Thermography (TT) is also part of our skill set, but the flagship service is undoubtedly the magneto-inductive testing (MRT) of metal ropes, conducted with instruments manufactured by us and certified by the Ministry of Transport.

The systems we inspect daily include portal cranes, gantry cranes, overhead cranes, jib cranes, wire rope and chain hoists, cable cars, ski lifts, elevators, goods lifts, ground funiculars, cable cars, and inclined planes.

Lifting Equipment Maintenance

The experience gained over the years in the inspection of metal ropes and lifting equipment also allows us to carry out the installation, replacement, and removal of steel ropes on these systems. One of our most successful operations undoubtedly includes the installation of ropes on various lifting systems on the largest gantry crane in Europe, installed at the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera. The production of fused heads, a critical component of a rope, is also within our expertise.

An extremely important aspect for the smooth operation and extended lifespan of a lifting system is undoubtedly lubrication. Lubricating cranes and lifting ropes through dedicated equipment has been part of our daily work for over twenty years.

Special Applications

Thanks to our collaboration with experienced professionals and engineers, we are able to prepare and implement inspection plans for general and special revisions on any people transportation or lifting system. However, systems are not the only fields in which we operate. We inspect the condition of bridges, walkways, cables, chimneys, torches, and any metal structure. We also handle many other aspects related to workplace safety. For example, we install and verify fall protection anchorage devices (lifelines), and we also inspect Category III personal protective equipment such as harnesses, shock-absorbing lanyards, and connectors.
